Comments: I stayed in Thierry's "Studio Marais" for ten days 27 Oct thru 6 Nov 07. Thierry came highly recommended thru two popular paris "blogs" - and when I got in touch initially, I was impressed with his promptness in replying...each and every time! I loved this darling little apt. It perfectly suited my needs...and the area completely resonated for me as well. What a charming area it is! Lively, great energy, creative, and eclectic. Right next door was a little grocery market I frequented as well as the wonderful patisserie on the corner. Across from that is a charming little square lined with bistros and cafes. Their is some amazing shopping to be found on the surrounding streets - but then again, is there a street in Paris without amazing shopping???!! The proximity to the Seine was a huge plus for me. I just loved taking my walks at night over to Hotel De Ville (gorgeous building) and Notre Dame or perhaps the I'l St. Louis or I'l de la Cite' - or walking up to the Pont Neuf or Pont des Arts bridge and watching the Eiffel Tour all lit up in it's amazing glory. Ahhh...how I miss it! I would not hesitate for one second to rent thru Thierry and his companies again!

Comments: My husband and I have just spent a wonderful week at Thierry's Place des Vosges apartment, in the Marais. It was like a home away from home, right in the heart of this fascinating area. The apartment is perfectly located for museums, restaurants, metro etc and is exceptionally well furnished with all the appliances and information a guest might need, all in english for those not fluent in french. Having been out of touch with friends and family for some weeks, the internet connection included in the tariff was a blessing! The apartment was spotless on our arrival and it seemed as if our every possible requirement had already been imagined and provided. Thank you, Thierry, for this memorable week in Paris. We shall have no hesitation in recommending your apartments and look forward to our next visit. Ralph and Sandi Warren, Port Stephens,NSW, Australia.

Comments: We stayed at Victor Hugo apartment from the 28th September till the 8th october 2007. Its a lovely apartment with a Romantic feel to it.It is of a great size and lovely antique style decor which is very elegant. It has all the mod cons- washer/dryer, dishwasher and TV(but who has time for TV in paris!!). The bed is super-comfy and sheets nice and soft. The kitchen had all we needed to make some lovely dinners during our stay using fresh produce. There was an elevator in the building and it was a security beuilding so we felt safe for all out belongings while we were away from the apartment. Its in a great area with the Centre Pompidou just around the corner (and the metro Rambuteau)as well as some lovely cafes and creperie and boulangerie, bookshop..the list goes on! There is also a G20 supermarket around the corner which has most of what you'll need. When we stayed here we felt very much "at home" and would recommend this apartment to anyone interested in staying in a great part of Paris. And would stay here again when Paris becomes our destination again. Thanks Thierry who was also very helpful via e-mail prior to arrival and with all the bookings and advice.

Comments: Thierry, I just wanted to say thank you so much for one of the best vacations we have ever had!! Chris and I enjoyed the apartment so much. What a gem -- both the apartment and you! We didn’t have any issues or problems at all, and tried to keep it and leave it just as perfectly as we entered it.
We wouldn’t hesitate to use your services again and/or recommend you to all of our friends. Paris is such a beautiful city, we were so fortunate to have such an incredible experience there.

Comments: We stayed in the Etoile Palace in April 2007. It was the best vacation ever! Thierry's apartment is spacious and clean with all that you'll need. It's in a great location with grocery shopping and restaurants and the Metro on the same street. Thierry made himself available even though we were very late meeting him from the airport.

Comments: Vicky's "La Coupole" apartment was excellent for our needs. The situation in the heart of Montparnasse could not have been better (close to 3 metro stops, shops, cinemas, restaurants etc), yet the apartment itself is very quiet and restful. Vicky has also thought of everything that the traveller needs in the way of appliances and extras. A great place to stay, in short. Thanks, Vicky.

Comments: Hello Thierry,
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the Studio Marais. The apartment was very clean and the location was great. We hardly needed to take the Metro at all as many of the places we wanted to visit were just a short walk away. We also really appreciated that the apartment had everything we might need - i.e. iron, blow dryer, and a toaster, which you don't see often in France. It was also great to have a computer with internet access available to us.
Thanks very much for everything.

Comments: Vicky's "La Coupole" studio was ideal for me. It is quiet and contained everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It is very well located: convenience store, bakeries, a supermarket, street markets, many restaurants, cafés, bus lines, metro lines
etc., all within a short walking distance. Then there is the Jardin Luxembourg, an oasis in Mid Paris, just a few minutes walk from the flat. Highly recommended!

Comments: My daughter and I just returned home from a month stay in the Place des Vosges apartment. It was wonderful!
The apartment is in a great location - close to shops, cafes, a bakery, the metro, a bus stop, restaurants, etc.
Everything necessary was waiting for us! The kitchen was perfect with a coffeemaker and coffee, a microwave and stove top, a refrigerator, and a washer/dryer.
We especially appreciated the loft area for the bed which left the floor space open for living. It made the apartment seem larger.
Having a computer in the apartment made all the difference in the world! We were able to stay in touch with friends and family, store pictures on a website, check "horaires" of museums and attractions, get maps, check the weather forecast, and take care of personal business and bills.
Thierry came to the apartment right after our arrival and showed us how everything operated, made sure we had what we needed, and was available either by phone or email if we needed to contact him. Thierry was very friendly and helpful - the perfect host!
In short, the apartment is EXACTLY as represented in the pictures on the website. It is convenient, rather roomy, clean, modern, pleasantly decorated, and became our home away from home immediately.
I highly recommend this apartment and I assume his other properties are equally wonderful. When I return to Paris, I will certainly stay in one of Thierry's apartments!

Comments: Thank you for sharing your Verrerie apartement with us. We had a fabulous time in the Marais. What a great location and to be able to retreat to the peace of Verrerie is a real bonus. Plenty of action and wonderful restaurants!! We are looking forward to returning to the Marais after our "travels" in the Citroen C4, end in September. We will recommend your apartment to our friends when we return to Australia. Regards.

Comments: Dear Thierry,
Thanks again for another great stay in Paris. This is the second year that we've rented from you, and the Studio Mazarine was perfect. We're amazed at how well designed your apartments are and how many features that you include in your studios. It was great to have Internet access and a washer and dryer. The apartment was spotless and the price very reasonable. And the location was perfect. We travel to Paris every year and will see you again on our next visit!
Best regards,
Bob and Ken

Comments: This was great stay in Paris! Spent 12 days in the apartment on Rue Bourg-Tibourg...a quintessential Parisian experience. Thierry was a great host. The stuff in the apartment was all good and there was plenty of cookware....the shower was wonderful. The location was superb. I will definitely keep Thierry's rentals in mind when visiting Paris next time. The area around Rue Bourg-Tibourg is fascinating...lots of great cafes, interesting restaurants and shops.

Comments: I recently spent a happy week at the Bourg Tibourg apartment in the Marais. This is the third apartment I have stayed in of Thierry's and they are all charming in their own way. Each one has a personality and in an area where the visitor can briefly feel like a Parisian. The great thing about these apartments on a practical level is that everything works: the hot water is hot, the washing machine and dryer is efficient and the bed is comfortable. And they are always near lovely places to eat or to buy supplies. When visiting Paris, I would always prefer to stay in one of Thierry's apartments.

Comments: We had the most pleasant experience with Vicky and her Coupole apartment. It was our first time to Paris and while we were very excited about the new experiences, we were also quite nervous about the unknowns. We stayed for only one week (which is much too short of a stay) and Vicky made us comfortable right from the start with a little walking tour of the immediate area. The apartment was very clean, quiet and comfortable. A wonderful place to end a day of exploring the city. The Montparnasse area is safe and filled with great restaurants and shops of all types and a great street market at the end of the block on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. We found hotel rooms in this area that were nearly twice what Vicky is charging. We are recommending Vicky's apartments to all our friends and hope to stay in "La Coupole" again. Thank you Vicky.

Comments: La Coupole was wonderful. It is very well situated with easy access to shops, nightlife, Le Jardin de Luxembourg, and three metros. There are several superb restaurants within footsteps and a wonderful cheese shop just below (I took home several sealed packages of marvelous cheeses and jams) The apartment is newly remodeled, beautifully decorated, and has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. It is very quiet, private, and was a great place to rest, read and relax between trips to museums, restaurants and the park. I took the stairs for exercise and energy efficiency; but it has a nice elevator for carrying bags up and down or for moments when a little lift is needed.
Vicky is very helpful, straightforward and very responsive to questions or concerns. She is also very interesting and knowledgeable . Superb!

Comments: STUDIO MARAIS – a wonderful experience I’ll be repeating next year!
I could not possibly have been more satisfied than I was with my three week stay in Studio Marais during May 2007 – indeed I was so satisfied that I have already booked the apartment for may of 2008!
The landlord, Thierry, is young, intelligent, energetic and clearly dedicated to ensuring his guests an outstanding experience. To cite one example: when I arrived early from the airport I found he was personally cleaning the apartment because the cleaning lady was not available.
The apartment consists of one large room with a kitchen along one wall, and a separate bathroom with stall shower, washing machine, sink and toilet, the bathroom being ventilated by its own window. The apartment is totally cut off from street noise because it is on a courtyard, but its three large windows and the size of that courtyard mean that it is not in the least bit dark.
The walls of the apartment are decorated with modern prints, and the simple, natural finish furniture goes well with the apartment’s look, which is contemporary but not aggressively so. The furniture consists of three chairs, a table, a queen size (or maybe king size) bed, a bedside table, a table for the computer, and a large closet.
Equipment includes a TV with built in DVD player (though I suspect U.S. DVD’s wouldn’t play because of the different French TV format and because of different DVD “regional coding”, though I can’t be certain of this as I brought no DVD’s with me), a stereo and a computer. The computer has a U.S. keyboard, the importance of which will be appreciated by anyone who has gone half mad trying to use a French keyboard due to its several pairs of transposed letters (a and q for example) and the fact that on a French keyboard the numerals are upper and the symbols lower case. And of course there is all the difference in the world between being able to check your e-mail from your temporary home than from having to go out to a commercial internet access establishment. With his typical spirit of helpfulness, Thierry at my request set the computer so that with a couple of clicks I could get straight to Yahoo mail.
The kitchenette has a two-burner electric stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker. It is amply equipped with crockery and cutlery. For those who wish to do their own cooking, there is a large self-service supermarket literally in the same building, so those who don’t know French can supply their needs with ease.
A sole word of caution: the apartment is on the 4th floor (U.S. numbering; 3rd floor UK/Continental numbering). but has no elevator. If a person thinks he would have difficulty with that many steps, he should inquire of Thierry about apartments with elevators or lower down.  The neighborhood literally couldn’t be more ideal. The apartment is in the Marais, one of Paris’s oldest neighborhoods, with eighteenth century buildings and narrow streets. At the same time, in recent years it has become “trendy” so it is full of shops and places to eat. For instance the street the apartment is on begins with a leafy little square surrounded by cafés and restaurants.
Only three blocks from the apartment is an entrance to the Hôtel de Ville métro stop which is on Line 1, which runs west to the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe and La Défense, and east to the Place de la Bastille (with the new opera house) and the Gare de Lyon train station. The next stop on Line 1 to the west of Hôtel de Ville is Châtelet, where an additional three métro lines meet, as well as the RER commuter line to Charles de Gaulle airport.
You can be at the banks of the Seine in about five minutes on foot from the apartment, and at the foot of the Boulevard Saint Michel in fifteen. So Right Bank, Left Bank – you’ve got it all within reach while being surrounded with a charming neighborhood.
I’ll conclude where I started: I can give no stronger testimonial of my satisfaction with ParisBestLodge, Thierry, or the Studio Marais than the fact that I have booked the latter for all of May 2008.

Comments: We stayed at The Jardina du Luxembourg apartment this spring for a little over two weeks. The apartment is fabulous. The location is perfect: steps away from the Jardin du Luxembourg with a great view of the park and the you can even see the Eiffel Tower when you step out on the balcony. The apartment is also steps away from the RER train stop, which makes it really convenient. A renovated ktichen, nice quiet bedroom with a view of the courtyard, great living room with cable tv and cable modem make this apartment feel like home. Thierry is a wonderful host, we've stayed at two of his other Left Bank apartments, and he's always there to help and make sure that your stay is perfect. Merci Beaucoup, Thierry.

Comments: Dear Thierry, my girlfriend and I wanted to thank you for our very enjoyable stay in Paris last month. The apartments were great. The pictures on your website accurately showed what we could expect and they were clean and very comfortable. We loved the view of the Eiffel Tower especially at night with the hourly light show. The balcony overlooking the rooftops of the Marais area was also immensely enjoyed. Thank you so much for your extra effort in doing a load of wash for me. It helped alot. I appreciate the trust you place in your renters as shown by keeping the arrangements simple and person-to-person. We will definitely recommend you to others and would certainly stay with you again on our next trip to Paris, the greatest city I have ever seen!

We returned two days ago from a twelve day stay in Studio St. Germain. Ooh La La.... It was a perfect space for us; computer/internet, washer/dryer, cook tops and refrigerator gave us the opportunity to bring home groceries, wine, water and of course, fabulous breads and pastries.
The apartent is a convenient walk to The Louvre, D'Orsay and Orangerie Museums. We also took a leisurely walk to Notre Dame and I ventured out on my own one day to Ile St. Louis to boutique shop. The metro we used most was Odeon, although after a few of our ventures, Mabillon was more convenient.
There are many restaurants and bars in the area. One night, we were so tired from our day adventures, that we brought in pizza from Cesare's, around the corner on rue Mazarine.
The area was hopping on Saturday when the art galleries (and you are in the center of the gallery area) were open later hours.
The apartment, up three narrow flights of steps, is well-equipped for a home away from home. Although we had our own travel books for Paris, the books in the apartment gave us some more information to make our stay more complete. Thanks so very much, Thierry. We appreciate your hospitality.

The apartment is 2 blocks from the metro, a super market, and a wonderful bakery where you can buy quiches and sandwiches for lunch. Having a kitchen, laundry, and the internet was a godsend. There are also many inexpensive places to eat in the area. You can walk to Notre Dame and many other places of interest from this location. Highly recommend!!!

Comments: Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in an apartment in Paris. Enjoyed the market at the end of the street. Would skip the bakery across the street for the one down the end of Rue Vavin, near the Luxembourg Gardens. It was also wonderful to be so close to the gardens with the weather so nice. So easy to just jump on the Vavin Metro to Cite Metro to eat the wonderful sorbets at so many shops in Ile St. Louis. Since most shops carried the same brand (Berthillon) we could just pick one where there wasn't a line & sit by the river and relax.

Comments: My wife and I spent a week at the Studio Marais celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The studio was the perfect place for two middle-aged lovers to make sure that they "will always have Paris." The location and neighborhood could not be better. When we arrived, I bought coffee, milk, jam, yogurt, and cheese at the Supermarket next door. Then every morning, while my wife was still in bed, I would get up, go two blocks to the tabac to get newspapers and then to the boulangerie around the corner from the studio to buy a still warm baguette. I would make coffee in the apartment and we would greet each lovely day in Paris sitting at the table having petit déjeuner and reading the newspapers before going out into the loveliest and most interesting neighborhood in Paris.
We love the neighborhood so much that we are going to stay in Thierry's apartment across the street this summer with our son.
Thierry was the perfect host. I sent him Email's and within a few hours, my questions would be answered. Bravo!

Comments: The two and one half weeks my friend and I spent in Le Marais were OH SO SPECIAL, particularly because of the excellent apartment (Place des Vosges) rented from Thierry! He is a fantastic, client-centered host, who made us feel at home and so very welcome in his city. This apartment is a short walk from Notre Dame, essentially the center of Paris. Also witin walking distance - Hotel de Ville, the Victor Hugo house, the Picasso Museum and much more! St Paul metro stop is a short distance away as well. PLUS - the "96" bus stops JUST outside the door to the apartment. It is in the center of dozens of unique shops, bakeries, groceries, etc. The ability to do our laundry there in the apartment allowed us to pack less (think about that!) and we enjoyed grocery shopping in Paris and cooking some of our meals - so much fun! Merci, Thierry, for your hospitality, your attention, and for the wonderful fruit and champagne that greeted us! We will be back! Rita Rone

Comments: After flying over 12 hours to arrive in Paris I do not like being told by a hotel clerk in an impersonal, overpriced hotel that my room is not ready. I also don't like having to send clothes out to be laundered, or having to go to an internet cafe to check my e mail, and dress up to go downstairs for a cup of coffee as soon as I arise. What I do like is arriving at Mr. Thierry's apartment in Paris where beautiful fresh flowers, wine and fresh fruit are in the table. The apartment with all of its charm only adds to the Parisian visit. I can assure anyone living in an apartment in a choice, very safe location of Paris is the best way to visit there. Mr. Thierry is available 24/7 to be of service to his guests in any way possible. His passion for Paris is only matched by his passion for making his guests happy. For several years I have rented the Place Des Vosges and can't wait to return.

Yes, we cooked in Paris. The location is fabulous, great access to the Metro, shopping and the Pompidou Centre. It's an easy walk to St Germain and many other areas and major attractions such as Notre Dame. Our other four friends stayed in the apartment on Rue de Temple, also fantastic. This was the second time we have used Thierry for our accommodation and both times it was perfect.

Comments: Our trip to Paris and our stay at the apartment Bourg-Tibourg was simply perfect. We were in heaven. We have recommended it to all of our friends, many of which are planning trips to Paris in the next year. We told them they simply MUST stay at one of your flats (of course, we think nothing could be better than the Bourg-Tibourg). Even though the pictures online are great, they can't do justice to the warm colours and real beauty of the apartment. You have to see it for yourself!
First of all, the apartment itself is so lovely. It is cozy, serene, warm, spacious and romantic, while at the same time being amazingly functional and clean. Every time we would return to the apartment, it felt like we were coming home. Thank you for that wonderful feeling!
From the kitchen (with a refrigerator, toaster, microwave, 2 stovetop elements, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher and beautiful sink) which was fully stocked with everything we could need (dishes, flatware, wine glasses, coffee, tea, dish soap, paper towels, salt and pepper, etc.) to the luxurious bathroom (gorgeous colour scheme, best shower we've ever used – like a rainfall, blow dryer, deluxe towel-warmer – and a generous supply of towels, and all the toiletries we would need, it was amazing, and so clean!) everything was outstanding. The bed was extremely comfortable and very large, the blankets were cozy and warm and we also LOVED the amount of closet space. It meant we could hide our big suitcases away and not live out of them!
We also loved the little balcony – we'll come back and stay when the weather is warm so that we can actually sit out at the pretty little table and enjoy our tea or wine without freezing!
We felt very safe and secure staying there, and the system you use for tenants to pick up the keys is perfect. On the subject of keys, it was brilliant of you to provide two sets – it meant my partner and I could enjoy our own alone time in Paris without worrying about meeting times or being locked out of our apartment waiting for the other!
It was a delight to be able to enjoy such a wide range of French (and English) television, and the flat screen TV was quite a treat. On the topic of technology, it is absolutely FANSTASIC that unlimited high-speed internet is included, and the computer itself is provided (it meant I didn't have to lug my laptop overseas or worry about it being stolen). The computer was new and fast, and it helped us to plan out our daily activities (i.e. look up hours, movie times, maps, etc.) and keep in touch with family and friends at home.
The local phone calls being included was another wonderful aspect of staying at your flat. And knowing that you were just on the other end of a phone call in case something went wrong was very reassuring. Thank you for being so responsible to and caring towards your guests. It could have been unnerving, staying in a strange apartment in a strange city, but knowing we had a contact "just in case" took that worry away. And, we didn't need to call you at all because everything was so perfect!
It was very thoughtful of you to provide a little library of Paris guide books too. We looked through many of them to help us decide on activities we didn't want to miss!
The location of the Bourg-Tibourg was perfect. There is a grocery store right across the street and two of the yummiest boulangeries (bakeries) in Paris right on our block! There are many, many, many cafes and bistros within a two-block radius, and lots of great boutiques as well! We picked up a couple of very neat, colourful espresso sets at a fun little store around the corner. There are two incredible gourmet chocolate shops on the block as well as the Mariage Freres tea store and restaurant. It's about a five-minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral, about 15 minutes to the Louvre. We only took the Metro twice because this apartment is in such a fantastic central location!
This is a stellar apartment, and you, Thierry are an incredibly sweet, hardworking and genuinely caring man. Thank you for making our first trip to Paris unforgettable.
We look forward to staying at the Bourg-Tibourg again as soon as we can! If anyone would like to contact me to ask any questions about our stay or about the apartment, please let them know I would be more than happy to hear from them.
Yours,
Rosie Shaw and Brendan Murray

Comments: We are Mr and Mrs Ian Baker from Western Australia, who rented the appartment at 25 Rue de Bourg Tibourg for a week's holiday in September, 2006. We are very happy to provide this summary of our experience, which was most favourable - giving us the basis for a memorable visit to Paris.
We found the arrangements to access the flat to be easy, with the RER train from Paris CDG Airport taking us to Chatelet station nearby. The appartment owner, Thierry, met us promptly to explain the operation of the numerous modern fittings and appliances, including setting up the computer for our email. Thierry continued to be available by telephone throughout the week to help us with other information, and our departure at the end was also easy.
The appartment we consider to be quiet and private, although just a few metres from the vibrant streets of the Marais, and close to the bustling Rue de Rivoli. The space is compact and cosy but very well planned, with all modern conveniences and its own private little balcony - a great spot for coffee or a glass of wine. Numerous attractive sources of food and drinks are available nearby - from the most exclusive ( L'Ambroisie in the Place des Vosges ) to modest bistrots or boulangeries or wine merchants.
But for us, being great walkers, perhaps the best feature of the appartment is its location within range of many of the best sights and experiences Paris has to offer.A complete list would be too long, but amongst those we enjoyed most were the Louvre, the river and its islands, Notre Dame, Place des Vosges (simply beautiful ), the Bastille, the little streets and shops of the Marais, and the wonderful museums like Carnavalet and the Picasso. For longer excursions, the Metro nearby is of course easy and efficient.
We reccommend Appartment Bourg Tibourg to prospective tennants, and hope ourselves to rent it again during a future visit to Paris.

What an amazing stay in a beautiful part of Paris! We could not have been happier with the 2 weeks we spent in the St Germain apartment and the fantastic surrounding area. The flat is all that is promised and more.
Thierry is an absolute gentleman, so kind and welcoming on our arrival and left wonderful information available to us, on the computer, the various guide books and in a small letter we found in the apartment, letting us know of everything from events that were happening and how to work the washing machine to the salon where they have the best hot chocolate! We asked for an extra key, the next day it was there, just as he said he would do.
It was so nice to be able to buy and cook food in such a cozy environment. Often, during a long hotel stay, it's so easy to get fed up of constant restaurant food and it was nice to have the choice. The kitchen is very well equipped and you can whip up quite a gourmet meal with ingredents from the markets and shops, all within 2-5 mins of the front door - if you have any cooking know-how!
This wasn't our first time in Paris, but we felt it was our first time 'living' there. Next time we travel to our favourite city, we hope that Thierry has an apartment available because our experience was so great. I cannot recommend Paris Best Lodge enough.
Wishing Happy Holidays to Thierry and his family! Till next time!

Comments: We just returned home after a month visit to Paris at Studio Mazarine and what a delightful stay it was. We are quite familiar with Thierry's studio apartments this being our third visit. The Studio Mazarine, like all of his other apartments, is completely furnished with all the comforts and amenities of home (in a smaller scale) that you can just settle in and feel at home plus the added plus of a lift. Having unlimited use of the Internet allowed us to keep in contact with our family at home. The location is perfect with all your shopping needs just around the corner and all the art galleries surrounding it. We will undoubtedly stay once again at one of Thierry's apartments at our next visit to the City of Lights. You did it again, Thierry!!!

Comments: We stayed in Vicky's apartment for one week on November 2006. Having Vicky as our host was wonderful. I am not just saying this just because, she IS really special. When she says, everything is in the apartment, she means it! There were so many details she thought that we might need, she put it there. Coffee, tea, aliminium foil, brita filter for water, etc!! These are in addition to the staples that you expect. Even a rope that we used for tying up the baggage! We were simply amazed at the things she thought we might need that, it quickly became a game to find out what else she thought of!! She is very helpful and will make your stay much more enjoyable. The apartment itself was great. Very clean, very comfortable bed. Much more space than any room you will get in a hotel for the same price range. The location is superb. Being that close to 2-3 metro/RER stops enabled us to quickly stop by 'home' and drop our stuff, take a rest and go on with our sightseeing. Seriosusly, the only thing we needed was toothpaste and a couple of clothes, that is it. Very convenient. There is also this fromagerie (chese shop right next to the apartment, they sell fresh eggs, cheese, all the freshest dairy you can think of. There is also a bakery shop and vine shop and quite a few number of great cafes and restaurants within a 1 minute walk.
Also, with apartment renting, there is a leap of faith on both sides. My experience with Vicky was great, wonderful transaction, no problems at all. Please feel free to e mail if you have would like to hear any more tips and would like to hear more about our stay in the wonderful La Coupule!

Just four or five blocks from the Seine and about the same distance to the Metro at the Hotel de Ville, this cozy apartment is a gateway to the city. Yet it's on a seculded street in neighborhood of restaurants, cafes, wine bars, bakeries, a handy grocery store, etc. We were within walking distance of Notre Dame Cathedral, several major museums and a number of Metro stations. The apartment was everyting Thierry said it would be at the rate he quoted, with no unpleasant surprises. He's a nice man you can trust. We'll stay at Studio le Marais during our next trip to Paris. Comments: We recently stayed in both the Studio Mazarine & Studio St Germain at the end of October 2006 and had a wonderful stay in both apartments. Thierry is very customer oriented & thorough. His apartments are truly located in the heart of things. You definitely get the Parisian experience. Everything you need is at your fingertips-in both the apartment and the neighborhood. This is my second time to Paris, and being in the heart of St Germain made the stay ten times better. Thank you Thierry for your attention to detail and to any concerns we may have had. You can't find a better combination of service and location. We hope others find your places as enjoyable as we did.

Most importantly since we did a lot of moving around, was the access to the metro. Hardly a minutes walk away were two central lines. Shopping, markets, bakeries, brasseries, oh my! A great location to retreat to after a day of strolling, site seeing, or whatever. We'll be back soon!! Thanks Vicky!!

Sadly this is our last day in the beautiful city of Paris after a wonderful week staying at Studio Mazarine.
We wish to thankyou for helping to make our stay a very enjoyable one.
The location of Studio Mazarine is perfect. So many restaurants to choose from and many Paris sights within walking distance as well
as the close proximity of Metro stations.
We would have no hesitation whatsoever of recomending Studio Mazarine to our friends.
Thank you once again Thierry.

The location was perfect, the apartment was very well appointed, bright, spacious, clean, and airy. We loved being able to shop and cook and we felt that we ate like royalty because we weren't having to eat our meals in restaurants. We only stayed a week and I can't wait to go back for at least 2 weeks or more. I would highly recommend renting one of these apartments and having the opportunity to feel like you are truly "living" in Paris. It was magnifique!

Comments: We are Paris-philes of long standing, so it was a real treat to experience living in a section that is new for us --- the area of Montaparnasse where the artists and literati congregated so many years ago. The experience was enhanced by staying in an apartment that may have been inhabited once by Modigliani! (We just saw the movie biography of him a few months ago, which enhanced every one of the 60 or 72 steps [depending on whether you stop in the living area or the bedroom].)
The apartment was very well appointed, with everything one might want for a comfortable stay (including WiFi, if you bring your own laptop). Vicky and Pascal were gracious and solicitous hosts.
The neighborhood gave one access to all of the food and entertainment facilities that one could want. We were happy to find a branch of Franprix for groceries and the bistro Parnasse 138 for a local dinner that was delightful in food, service, and price. Having the Luxemburg Gardens so close was also very special!
And, of course, the entire Left Bank is at your feet, if you are willing to walk off a few of the calories you add on at Parnasse :-)

Comments: We had a great time in Paris and La Coupole was exactly what we had hoped for. We loved the apartment...it was comfortable, well equipped, clean, quiet(overlooking the courtyard), and authentically Parisien. Having high-speed internet was a requirement for us and being able to just bring our laptops and hook them to the router and the internet from the apartment was great.
The location of the apartment was very central and close to everything. There are many bakeries close by and we especially enjoyed the one at the intersection of bd Montparnasse and bd Raspail. Right across from the apartment is also this grocery store which came in very handy for food, drinks, and any other little necessities like toothpaste and a toothbrush (which I had forgotten to bring with me).
The apartment's proximity to 3 metro lines was another advantage...because we used the metro extensively and even bought ourselves a card orange (a weekly metro pass). We also loved walking to the nearby Luxenbourg Gardens and resting our feet, taking a snooze, reading our books, or just watching the people there.
Lastly thanks to Pascal for giving us a tour of the area and explaining how everything works in the apartment. We're already talking about our next vacation to Paris and looking forward to staying at La Coupole once again.

Comments: Thank you so much, we had a fantastic stay at La Coupole in June 2006.
The location of the apartment couldn't have been better! The area is so nice with plenty of shops and restaurants very close by, as well as a twice weekly market just five minutes away. And as it's so close to the nearest Metro station (a few minutes walk) the rest of Paris is within very easy access.
The apartment itself is very comfortable, well equipped and clean.
This was our second trip to Paris, so we had already done most of the key tourist attractions. However, we would recommend a visit to the Catacombs, which are within walking distance of the apartment (make sure you wear sensible footwear for the walk through).
The twice weekly market is well worth a visit. We ate out most nights; we found the best value was at the Parnasse 138 restaurant. We enjoyed the Odessa Bar, which was a favourite place for us to stop for a drink and watch the world go by (they serve a good selection of beers and excellent ice creams!).
Thanks again for making us feel so welcome (Pascal's tour of the apartment and the area was very useful) and for making our visit to Paris so enjoyable. We enjoyed staying in the apartment very much and when we return to Paris in the future we hope that La Coupole will be available!

Comments: I would heartily recommend Parisbestlodge to friends visiting Paris. Thierry was friendly and very prompt returning messages and clear about procedures. I was impressed with the website and found the information very helpful. Our apartment near the Place des Voges felt like a nice home away from home for our 10 days there. I came with my college son and my sister to visit a daughter who is studying in Paris for the year. My other daughter also joined us part of the time. The price was more reasonable than 2 hotel rooms would have been and it was great to have internet to keep in touch (my husband was in Japan), a place to fix some food and relax over morning coffee, and the ability to do laundry (although took much longer than American machines). Both the sofa bed and loft bed were very comfortable and the boulangerie nearby was delightful. We had a great meal at Cafe Baci a block away, and also enjoyed the Provencal restaurant, Chez Janou, nearby. We used the metro which was convenient and visited several of the interesting museums nearby. Staying in this apartment was defintely a positive experience. Thank you, Thierry.

Comments: When planning my trip to Paris in 2005 I was very fortunate to stumble across the Paris Best Lodge website. From the moment of my first enquiry I found them to be extremely helpful and attentive.
I enjoyed a truly authentic Parisian stay in a well appointed and comfortable studio in the heart of Le Marais. With world class patissieres, boulangeries and restaurants at my doorstep and Notre Dame a short walk away I was guaranteed an unforgettable stay in the city of lights.
What added to my experience was that the owner Eric was completely charming and genuinely interested in ensuring that I enjoyed my stay in Paris.
A hotel will never be able to provide a tourist with such a close connection to the Parisian way of life which is why I have no hesitation in recommending Paris Best Lodge to anyone seeking to experience Paris at its best.

Comments: Thank you, Thierry, for the marvelous February week we just spent in Studio Mazarine, where the lovely, warm decor and all the amenities made up for a chilly, rainy Paris! We've been coming to Paris for over 45 years, and this is our first time renting from Paris Best Lodge, and over the Internet. We are converts, and have already reserved for 2007! Every aspect of the studio was as described on the web site-very comfortable queen-size bed, kitchenette that let us eat in, a great TV where we watched the Olympics in Turino, a most useful washer-dryer, and best of all--a computer with American keyboard that allowed us to keep in touch with friends & family by e-mail. This feature alone will make us return to Thierry's apartments, and we've already recommended him to friends and family. Bravo, Thierry, et a la prochaine! Mary and Ted

Comments: My wife and I had a wonderful week in Paris, staying in the small appartment near Place des Vosges on Rue Turenne. The place was bright (just as shown on the website pics), quiet (you'll always have the typical street traffic), no noise from neighbors, toasty warm in January. The bus stop is at the apartment door! Most convenient...direct to Notre Dame etc in minutes. Metro just 2 blocks or so away.
The Marais is a great place to spend an extended stay in Paris. Wonderful choices for restaurants nearby, great variety and very economical to the most dear. Interesting shopping and streets. Convenient to transportation.
The apartment had a wonderfully comfortable bed in the loft, nice linens and the computer and high-speed internet made it simple to investigate bus lines, museum info, and restaurants. Roomy bathroom, shower only.
Thierry took great care of us and gave us great advise on the area. Great bakery, patesserie 100 steps away (open at 7 am), so we saved $'s on breakfast, had great pastry and concentrated on the mid-day meal. Place des Vosges is a wonderful place to sit, picnick (though not everyday in January) and watch the flow of people. It's 1/2 block away.
We picked our apartment from the net based on Theirry's web-site info (which was honest and representative), out of the blue, but were very happy and hope to return one day.
Thanks, Theirry,
Charlie and Peggy

Comments: WARNING: Coming to Paris and renting from Mr. Thierry can be very habit forming. I know having been unable to break the habit for a number of years. You can not find a more caring, cheerful, honest, or kind landlord to do business with. He is one more reason, in seemingly a million, I keep returning to Paris. Try him, you too will like doing business with him. And you will be very, very glad you did.

Comments: have been back from Paris for a week now and I wanted to let everyone know that I loved the apartment i rented!
I rented from parisbestlodge.com and really liked the experience. First of all, Thierry who runs parisbestlodge.com is a great host and very friendly. He answered all my questions and gave me great directions. Once I arrived and was let into the unit, he stopped by to collect the money and show me around. He is a very honest man..
Second, the apartment was my little home away from home. The price I paid was lower than a hotel with more amenities and lots of space. The apartment had a washer/dryer, kitchenette, big bathroom, CD player, TV with VCR and a lot of little extras like CD's and guidebooks.
The apartment was very cute and had a comfortable bed, leather love seat and 2 chairs. The view out the 2 French doors was over the rooftops and within view of the top of St Pauls church. The bed was real comfortable and had good sheets, duvet and fluffy pillows. I also love the old beamed ceilings.
I especially love the location on the rue Rivoli right at the St Paul metro station. Right across the street was a "supermarche", boulangerie, wine shop, cheese shop, chinese take away and more! There are also a bunch of good bistros and wine bars in the area. The Marais is really a fun neighborhood and really make you feel like you are a resident of Paris.
There is a real good representation on their websight of the apartment but if anyone has any questions, let me know!
P.S. Don't get to excited about the washer/dryer. It was a good thing to have but a load of wash took over 2 hours. The unit is a combo washer and dryer so you can do a second load until you finish drying the first. Its not like a US washer and dryer! My clothes always came out terriblIy wrinkled but a spray with a water bottle (that I bought) and a good ironing helped!

Comments: I have had the pleasure to stay in two of the apartments on the Paris Best Lodge site in the past year. Last April (2005), I visited Paris with a friend for two weeks, and we stayed in the apartment La Verrerie. Joel was a most gracious, hospitable and accommodating host. And the apartment was just as described and served our needs perfectly, with a separate bedroom for my friend, and the perfectly appointed kitchen to allow us to have breakfast before venturing out into the City.

When I was making plans to return to Paris for a couple of weeks in January of 2006 with my partner to see Mylène Farmer in concert, I knew that I would again want to stay in a Paris Best Lodge apartment due to such a positive experience a few months before. Unfortunately, La Verrerie was not available during the dates of my visit, but instead I was able to stay in Les Rosiers. Both apartments are in the same general area, and the location was, as it was with La Verrerie, perfectly situated for access to the métro, shops, and easy walking distance to the centre of the city. The apartment is quite light and airy feeling. And the kitchen worked out well enough to have a private chef help us prepare a five course meal one night.

In both instances, the comfort, location and maintenance of the apartments allowed us to feel as if we were "living" in Paris for a couple of weeks rather than simply visiting. And Thierry was the ever charming and available host that helped to make the stay as easy and pleasant as possible.

Upon my next visit, I will indoubtedly be staying in a Paris Best Lodge apartment again.

Thank you Joel (from April), and thank you Thierry (from January).

A bientôt...

Comments: We spent 10 days at the Grande Chaumiere loft and were very pleased with it. The location is excellent (right next to the metro, five minute walk to Luxembourg gardens) and the loft itself was very spacious, in excellent condition, with great traditional views of Paris rooftops. As well, Vicky made it exceptionally easy for us to pick up the keys, and was very relaxed and accomodating in arranging a meeting to provide her with the rent check. She could not have made it easier for us.
Considering the price, the excellent quality and spaciousness of the apartment, and the ease by which Vicky arranged everything, I would never stay at a hotel when visiting Paris, but would always rent through Vicky. I can highly recommend her to anyone.
With best regards,
Naomi

Comments: My partner and I stayed at Studio des Innocents in July 2005 and absolutely loved every second.
Having your own apartment is fantastic, you can feel like a (partly) true Parisienne ducking out in the morning to buy your breakfast baguette. The apartment was situated smack bang in the middle of the action and there was always something happening around the fountain outside our window. Fantastic restaurants and bars where a minute's walk away.
The process of booking and staying at the apartment was completely smooth and hassle free. I had my reservations at first as I am your typical cynical and untrusting traveller but I suspended judgement and luckily everything turned out just perfect. As we were in Paris in peak season the price was an absolute bargain when compared to the nightly rate in mid-range (and utterly impersonal) hotels.
We would not hesitate to book an apartment through Paris Best Lodge again. Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later.

Thank you once again for a great experience! We stayed at Studio Mazarine in the classy St Germain district in the second and third weeks of September and loved it just as much as we did on our first visit 2 years ago. Well located to most sights in Paris - we walked just about everywhere - and with the most wonderful shops (patisseries, boulangeries etc) virtually at our doorstep. Apartment living is definitely the way to go. Thank you for a fabulous experience. We will definitely look to rent one of your apartments on any return visits to Paris.

Thierry was great to deal with (by email) and Eric was superb - he could not do enough to make our stay a delight. Le Marais was a great area to stay - central enough to do the 'tourist thing' easily but with local character that could still be enjoyed. We have already recommended Parisbestlodge to friends and will certainly aim to use Thierry / Eric again ourselves.

So, when they visit Paris we try to find them a welcome place to stay rather than setting them up in an unhome-y hotel room. This is how we found Theirry and Eric. We've had our guests stay in the appartment near the Pompidou as well as near the Fountain des Innocents. Both are super appartments! Very sweet, comfortable and home like. All our guests have enjoyed them very much, especially since they are both just steps away from the most beautiful areas of Paris!! Highly recommended!

The location is superb with restaurants, cafés and shops on the same street as the apartment with a fabulous street market just minutes away. The whole area buzzes with life and activity yet the apartment is peaceful and a superb haven from outdoor life. We stayed for a month prior to moving to our own apartment and honestly appreciated the opportunity to explore the "quartier".

Comments: We have just returned from a glorious month in Paris staying in Studio le Marais on Bourg-Tibourg. The location is perfect - a lovely, lively neighborhood with a fabulous boulangerie on the corner that makes the best croissants we've ever tasted, an inexpensive market next door, an epicerie that makes fresh squeezed orange juice, a very nice square at the end of the street, the elegant and wonderful Mariage Freres Salon du The practically next door...and on and on. The apartment is, at the most, five minutes from the Seine, Ile St. Louis, & Notre Dame - perfect for those late evening strolls amidst the beauty of the City of Light.

The apartment itself is delightfully cozy. Two of us were very comfortable there for the month and never felt cramped. The tenants were friendly, and one delightful woman even has a cat, Sigmund, helping to ease our longings for our own pets. We enjoyed conversations with her almost every day and, we believe, made a friend.

Thierry was very nice, wholly accommodating and went out of his way to make everything perfect for us. We very much look forward to returning and would HIGHLY recommend this apartment, Thierry, and Paris Best Lodge to anyone.

Comments: Warmly greeted by Eric with croissants and a lb. of coffee shortly after our arrival at Rue des Innocents, set the tone for our enjoyable two-week stay and first visit to Paris. The studio apartment was comfortable, kitchen equipped with the basics, bathroom with a shower, and even a stereo to listen to the marvellous Paris FM jazz station. The apartment is situated in a lively neighbourhood in 1e, very close to the Chatelet metro station, walking distance to the Louvre, Pompidou Center, other museums, shopping, many restaurants of all types, and a wonderful bonus for jazz lovers - only a few minutes walk to three first-rate jazz clubs. We have heartily recommended the studio apartment and the website to several Toronto friends, some of whom have already stayed there, and look forward to returning for another visit to cover some of the Paris we didn't have time to experience in a mere two weeks! Merci beaucoup Eric.

At all times both Thierry and Eric were wonderful in welcoming me to Paris, and gave the best of attention. Both apartments are in fantastic locations. Innocents is in the 1st arrondissement, looking over the famous Fontaine des Innocents in Les Halles, with all necessary amendments at hand, including a direct train link to Charles de Gaulle. Sicile is in the the 4th arrondissement, the Marais, and although smaller, has all the necessary facilities, and is within walking distance of Hotel de Ville and the Seine. I have never stayed in a hotel in Paris, and would always try and stay in one of Thierry or Eric's apartments first. It's simply the way to go.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable, located in the heart of the Marais, and only a two minute walk to the Metro, the supermarche, a thousand cafes and restaraunts and the Centre Georges Pompidou. The apartment is large, clean, comfortable, quiet, incredibly convenient to shopping, food, the Metro... and it is on a lovely block in Marais. I couldn't have asked for more. I also enjoyed use of the high-speed Internet to keep in touch with work and friends. Knowing Thierry was always available if anything came up made my visit comfortable as well. I would highly recommend this apartment to any couple or single person visiting Paris; and since there is a sofa bed in the living room (the bedroom is a completely separate room) it'd be great for a couple with a child or even two couples. Comments: My family (wife, two college age daughters and one teenager son) stayed at GRANDE CHAUMIERE apartment for 13 days. This was our second trip to Paris for me and wife. We enjoyed the stay very much. It is a very new and clean apt with new everything (furniture, bath & kitchen). The owner, Vicky, met us when we arrived at the apt from the airport. When I did not have enough cash to pay for the apt rent due to the ATM daily limitation, she just told me to bring the rest next day to her apt. She even brought an extra bed for my son.
My family visited her apt twice and had one long conversation about France, US and politics with roated chestnuts. What a treat!!! She told us to where to shop and where to go to eat. She sent me several e-mail on concerts and Paris information. She was like my own personal travel agent.
The apt building has old charm character. If you are 4 start hotel type, do not stay here. However, if you want to experience Paris, this is the place to stay. Shop at ED market where grocery is cheaper than US (hard to believe). I and my kids shoped at ED almost everyday to sample French food and deserts. We even tried French tripe soup.
The Edgar metro station is only one two blocks from the apt. There is morning farmers market on Saturday and Wed. There are also some shops selling custome jerwely there for French. My wife and daughters spent a few hundred dollars since price was very reasonable. You do not pay tourist price there. We bought light lunch (roasted chiken, pork and seafood rice, ham, cheese) there and ate at any part bench we could find in Paris.
We used Grey shuttle (one recommanded by the apt owner) for airport transportation which was cheaper than hiring two taxes for a family of 5 and 5 big luggages. For return trip to air port, a Mercedes van showed up with a driver in three piece suite. He told us that the apt was in an excellent area of the Paris. He also told us that he spend last four day driving Kim Basinger in Paris for a movie production in the same van.
I would like to thank Vicky for the excellent stay. If you want to taste Paris, this apt will get you there.

My husband and I rented the Thorigny apartment in the Marais district for a week this fall. It was a fabulous location because it allowed us to walk everywhere, which is of course the best way to see Paris. We were literally just down the street from the Picasso Museum.
The apartment is on a quiet street just off a major street. This allowed us to access the restaurants easily, and we loved exploring the area. Be sure to do the self-guided walking tour of the district.
The apartment itself was terrific, and exactly what we needed after having spent a week meandering through Italy. It was extremely clean and well-equipped. We were very grateful for the many guide books that were available for us to use, also.
Thierry, of course, is an excellent host. He is gracious, available, and entirely trust-worthy. His correspondence and instructions, prior to our arrival, were clear and prompt.
We would definitely return and rent one of Thierry's apartments again!

Thierry was a wonderful host and very helpful. The apartment had lots of guide books and the internet was a big bonus.
Would highly recommend this safe neighbourhood and we would'nt hesitate to stay here again.
Thanks again Thierry for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable.

Comments: We had a great two weeks staying in Vicky's La Coupole apartment in Montparnasse, which is now our favorite Paris neighborhood. It's ideally located on a small, quiet street right off Boulevard Montparnasse. Everything you need to survive in Paris is within a couple of blocks of the apartment: Metro stops, boulangeries, brasseries, cafés, several great creperies, cinemas, markets (especially a great INNO/Monoprix store), and department stores if you run out of clothes. If you don't have a cell phone, you can easily purchase a phone card at the Tabac around the corner. Vicky is a great hostess and the apartment was a clean and cozy home away from home. We're looking forward to our next trip there, and are recommending La Coupole to all our friends. (Vicky also showed us her La Grande Chaumiere apartment a couple of blocks away, which is even more charming and pleasant.) Thanks again for helping us have the best vacation ever!

Comments: What a phenomenal honeymoon we just had in Paris! And so much of the charm came from our stay in the Studio Rivoli. The sixth-floor balconies were perfect places to enjoy some Bordeaux while taking in spectacular views of St. Paul-St. Louis church and the classic rooftops of Le Marais. The apartment was furnished with everything we needed and gave us the added bonus of a washer/dryer. The convenience to the metro and to the Seine River (where we went for morning runs) was unbeatable. AND we had incredible access to the charming chocolate shop across the street!
Thank you, Thierry, for everything, and to Sue and Cristophe for such an amazing place to stay! We'll be back as soon as possible!

It's very convenient and easy to use. We'd highly recommend the apartment and the area. It was handy to have a washing machine too - save more room in your suitcase for shopping! We also enjoyed being able to cook some of our meals - better than a hotel.

Location was terrific (once we'd become accustomed to the stairs), and the apartment was comfortable and quiet, though the bathroom is certainly 'cosy'. It was Nicky's first visit to Paris (a gift for her 21st birthday) and I am quite sure it will not be her last - though whether she'll want to travel there again with her old Dad is another matter!

The apartment was exactly as advertised - a clean, spacious studio in an elevator building. The location was excellent - a quiet street in Montparnasse, 2 different metro stops within a 5 minute walk. The area is very "happening" with many cool cafes, restoraunts, and creperies nearby. There are also 2 supermarkets within walking distance.
Highly recommended! We will definitely use Parisbestlodge again on our next trip to Paris.

The owner Vicky was absolutely superb. Very helpful. She met us in the street on our arrival and took the time to show us around the neighbourhood so we would feel more at home!
The apartment was spotless and well positioned in Paris to make the most of this great city's many attractions.
She wasn't joking about those stairs - who needs the gym!
The apartment was incredibly peaceful at night. Terrific after a long flight getting there and many busy days sight seeing to be able to get a good nights sleep.
Thank very much for a most enjoyable stay!

I wanted to let you know how pleased we were with all the arrangements made for our stay in Paris. Vicky's apartment was superb in every way. It was quiet, extremely well equipped and in a wonderful area with all facilities nearby. Having the market at the end of Rue Delambre twice a week was an added surprise. A different metro line available at each end of the street another advantage. Simply a great area, so close to many of the wonderful Paris sites, with so very many restaurants available. Vicky and her family were so kind to us and she lives so close to the apartment that we were able to see her quite often. La Coupole is truly a fabulous apartment for anyone who wishes to be in the heart of one of the finest districts in Paris. Thank you again Thierry for all your help. I have already, and will continue to recommend your website and, of course, Vicky's apartment to all our friends who might be thinking of a holiday in Paris. Being 2 short blocks away from the metro was very convenient, and we liked strolling down Rue de Rivoli where we found a great Italian restaurant and 2 wonderful Patisseries.
The apartment was spotless and furnished with all new appliances, and we were pleased to have an internet connection for our laptop. The apartment was exactly what we had hoped for, and it was nice to have lots of room to spread out in. We also booked the shuttle van service from the Links page. It was fast and convenient.

But more about the apartment; what a pleasure to be able to pack light and do wash! And to have coffee in the morning on our own terrace. And thank you for stocking your shelves with Paris Travel books, they were a wonderful resource.
Also, for us computer addicted Americans it was wonderful to have one here with an English key board. We were able to keep in touch with people back home and look up Paris addresses, restaurant reviews, phone numbers and weather.

The location was excellent, only a block from the quai, and walking distance to Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame, Louvre, Pompidou and much more. The apartment was so much better than a hotel, besides being cheaper! There was plenty of room, and it was a real luxury to have the little kitchen and our own washer/dryer, as well as the internet access. Thierry gives excellent personal service, and I think he even arranged the weather for us. The day we arrived was the first warm day of the year. All the cafes put their tables out and the bouquinistes opened their stalls. It stayed that way for the whole week, while back home in the midwestern US it was snowing. Really a perfect vacation, and I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

Comments: Hi Thierry,
We just got back from a marvelous week in Paris. We stayed at the La Verrerie apartment, right in the heart of Le Marais, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Eric (owner of la VERRERIE apartment) was the kindest person we met all week, and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The apartment is *so* beautiful, and there was nothing more magical than waking up in the morning and hearing the bells of Notre Dame -- which was less than a five minute walk away -- chiming in all their glory.
I loved that the windows overlooked the courtyard, because even when the streets were busy, it meant that we were isolated from the noise. There were so many shops to discover in that neighborhood, and a week wasn't nearly enough! Also, we loved having the metro stop just steps away from our front door.
Really, this was the perfect trip. Thank you ever so much, Thierry, because both you and Eric were terrific to work with, and you both helped make this the most fantastic vacation we've yet taken. We won't consider using anyone else for our next trip to Paris, and I will be certain to sing your praises to any friends, family or strangers who might be considering a Paris apartment rental. Thanks again!
Cheers, Jennifer Lee

Metro stops Odeon & St Germain, close either side of the apartment. We were able to walk everywhere (well, within reason)within a few minutes. Having never been to Paris before, I made sure I saw alot on this trip. I did use the Metro alot, but walking was one of the best parts. I was able to see the galleries and the museums all around our apartment. The architecture along the streets is georgeous. The Lourvre is 10 minutes away. There are several wonderful bakeries, markets, wine shops all within a minutes walk. We did our shopping and prepared meals in the kitchen, which I was surprised was so well equipped. Thierry is very quick to respond to you if you need him. Example, I was there 3 days and the computer monitor in our unit blew out. I called Thierry and he had a new flat panel in our apartment that day. He is a great host and we are planning our next trip back soon. We are deciding on trying another one of his units or going with a sure bet and take the Studio St. Germain again. Try it, you will love it.

Comments: It took me so long before putting up my review due to my hectic schedule and health problem just after returning fr my yearly holiday to Europe. But here I am...

In the past, I had one of the most amazing job in the world, travelling and reviewing some of the best hotels in Asia, in particular those in Bali and Jakarta, when I was with www.asiahotels.com Though, Mr Thierry's apartments are not classified under hotel or resort, I would like to give his Place des Vosge apartment a score of 9.5/10 (well, sorry, Thierry, nobody is perfect!) The place is large and more than comfortable enough for a single traveller like me, in fact, it can accomodate up to 4 guests but will be too crowded. The ameneties in the apartment are perfect - I didn't feel I miss anything. And the massage shower was really a luxury after a very long walk, though I wish to have a bath tub. The mattress, pillows and the comforter are much better than those I found in 4, even 5 star hotels in Paris. Truly one luxury holiday for me. The free high-speed internet connection was really helpful as I was working too when in Paris, enable me not to lose contact with my suppliers and friends back in Asia - and saving me money fr calling them. I have one comment though, I wish Mr Thierry provides more DVD with English subtitles coz almost everything on local and cable TV channels are in French.

The location was excellent, and I can just walk to Notre Dame, Bastille, and I even walked all the way to Tour Eiffel (well, I couldn't get a taxi, and it was a very, very, very long walk, but I love walking in Paris). There are lots of high-end and low-end restaurants around, plus many boutiques to cater every budget. Those money I saved on long distance phone calls, there, I spent in those boutiques.

But the best part of my stay at this apartment in Place des Vosges was Mr Thierry himself. He is such a kind man, the kindest I have ever met in Paris so far. He is very sympathetic, full of life and kindness in him, and very, patient and understanding. That, for me, who has done my fair share of travelling and reviewing hotels, is extremely priceless. He made me feel so at home and welcome. And for this, I know that I am now had a new friend in Paris. And will always stay in one of his lovely apartment for my yearly trip to Paris.
Thank you, Thierry, for making my 2004 holiday in Paris the most memorable one. See you very soon.

I have traveled to Paris quite a few times and this is my first time staying in an apartment where I truly felt we were able to experience the Parisian lifestyle for 10 wonderful days! From our original contact, you were professional and helped us to make a great choice with the studio Place des Vosges. We found the apartment exactly like the pictures only better! The Marais neighborhood is a wonderful and central location to enjoy a visit to Paris from and you have made it all so easy and conveinient providing suggestions for supermarkets, brasseries and activities that we found in the apartment. We were charmed by the fact that you came over shortly after our arrival to aquaint us with the appliances, etc. and stock the kitchen with essentials. Having the phone and computer with unlimited internet service was great...Knowing that we could call you anytime if needed but being on our own was just perfect! I will definately recommend Paris Best Lodge to my friends and can't wait to come back again for a visit very soon!
Thanks for everything Thierry!

Comments: Hallo!
we just arrived from Paris over Würzburg at home. Let me give you some notes for visitors from germany.
Thank you and "merci"
Hartmut

Comments: My new bride and I recently spent ten nights in Thierry's Studio Saint Germain, and it was a wonderful experience! Everything you need is within easy walking distance. There is a supermarket about one block away and a great boulangerie (bakery) a block further down Rue Mazarine. The convenience of having a computer with an internet connection in the apartment made it easy to find restaurant reviews and maps (though there are plenty of such books left behind by gracious former renters) and to communicate back home. The nifty washer/dryer meant we could pack light to save room for our souvenirs. The apartment really couldn't have been in a better location with the Louvre, Museé d'Orsay, Les Invalides, Notre Dame, Ste.-Chapelle and much more within a few minutes' walk of our front door and the rest easily accessible from the Metro station nearby. Thank you Thierry for a great apartment! We had a wonderful time and I'll be happy to provide tips and recommendations to others considering renting from you.

We are sad we are leaving after 14 wonderful days in Studio Saint Germain. The apartment was very clean, and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was excellent, very close to many of the major Paris sites (not to mention some great places to eat like Paul's boulangerie).
The close proximity of Studio Mazarine (less than one block) was wonderful. My sister and brother-in-law met up with us our second week, and we had a great time in our "home away from home".
We highly recommend your apartments! We can't wait to come back to Paris and Saint Germain Des Pres.
au revoir,

Comments: Hello Thierry,
We absolutely loved staying the past 2 weeks at Studio Marais. It was as pictured, very clean, very quiet, and well-laid out.We never felt cramped.
To echo what realtors say about buying a house, the most important thing is "location, location, location" and the 4th arrondissement is just the perfect location. We walked to Notre Dame within minutes.
We loved the area with it's small streets, shops and cafes. We found "Les Philosophes" cafe (rue du Vieille-du-Temple)especially good. (check out the restrooms).
We echo what others have noted, you are indeed an excellent host.I greatly appreciated your getting us the cell phone SIMS card
You have so many nice touches in the apartment---having coffee, paper products, and soap provided was unexpected. The use of free internet was essential not only for us but needed for help with family emergency.
We both love Paris and have been several times. We always hope to return. Whenever we do, we will first contact you.
Thank you again,
Kathleen and Paul N.

After I'd read a travel article, which suggested staying in an apartment, I started searching online. I came upon Thierry's website and was pleased with what I found. I had many questions, and Thierry answered all of them promptly. We decided on Place des Vosges, and when we arrived, it was exactly as it was in the picture. Thierry met us in the evening, bringing coffee and baguettes, and was truly as nice in person as he was in our email communication. We had the most wonderful time, cooking dinner for our friends in the apartment, having coffee every morning and shopping on Rue des Francs Bourgeois. Everything is accessible, from museums to markets, and there are several cafe's nearby. We had ten relaxing days there, and when we return to Paris next year, we plan on staying at Place des Vosges again. Thank you, Thierry, for everything, and my apologies for just getting around to writing!
Best,

But there is so much more to do and see, so hopefully we will be able to stay in another of your apartments before too long.

The apartment was excellent and the location was superb. Thierry was an excellent host and has some outstanding properties. For us this was a far better experience than staying in a hotel and renting two small rooms. You get more for your money and you experience the city much like a Parisian. While we saw most all major sites the best experience was simply walking through the neighborhoods of Beauborg, Marais and the Latin Quarter. We rarely used the Metro because we could walk to where we needed to go. We would highly recommend Parisbestlodge to either couples or families.

Just a note to let you know we're doing fine
The neighbourhood is incredible - we are overwhelmed by all the good food around us. I fear we're going to return home totally obese!! How do Parisians stay slim if they're eating all the time?!
David's conference (at the Hotel Lucetia) is only an 8 min. walk from here - perfect!
The flat is perfect - everything works and you've thought of all the basic necessities to make a visit go smoothly.
The computer has been a special blessing - thank you thank you.
But most of all, thank you for providing a COMFORTABLE bed and good, clean pillows. You have no idea how much this is appreciated.
The older one gets the harder it is to overcome jet lag it seems!! Plus the street is surprisingly quiet at night - another blessing. We are very grateful as I'm sure your other tenants have been. Word will spread.
Cheers,
Heather

The apartment is fantastically located 25 metres off the Champs Elysees and very close (50 metres) to 2 metro stations.
The accommodation is spotlessly clean - the central heating extremely efficient! (ie hot!) and the whole experience was simply a joy.
Unfortunately Thierry himself was away on holiday during our stay but his arrangements, including having someone there to meet us on arrival on the Sunday evening, were meticulous and everything went without a hitch.
Thierry even sent our cancelled deposit cheque back to us by post as he could not give it to us in person.
All in all a most enjoyable experience.

Your thoughtful little inclusions like soap for all the appliances, hair dryer, coffee and confiture were unexpected but certainly appreciated. Comments: Wonderful experience and rental of Studio Mazarine, Saint Germain. The apartment is located in the heart of Saint Germains Art Galleries, shops and easy location to all the major attractions and of course the Metro. The apartment it self was new, the Bed was very comfortable, the studio itself had plenty room , including closet and safe for valuables! Thierry had thought of everything all included, believe me the internet, cable, DVD's , phone, washer and dryer and complete security was better t

Comments: From first contact to our meeting in Paris, Thierry exceeded all reasonable expectation. He was prompt in answering emailed questions and the unit we stayed in, (Studio St. Germain) could not be more centrally located. Great provision shopping down the street, an excellant boulangerie close to the market and more dining opportunities than we could imagine. Our two weeks will be all too short.

Comments: I stayed at the Etoiloe Palace apartment. I can only say I am homesick for my apartment in Paris. It was so much better than I had expected. The pictures of the apartment do not do it justice. The view from the living room over the roofs of Paris is beautiful. The location is centralized between the Arc de Triumph, the Louvre, Napoleans Tomb, the Eiffel Tower and the high fashion district on Rue St. Honore. Perfect for walking. As you can see I can just go on about the apartment and it's surround.

Comments: We stayed in the 1BR apartment at the Centre Pompidou, on the 2nd floor, 8-15 Dec 2002. We found the appointments fashionably simple and appropriate. And no room service and all that privacy - what a treat. For 2 people it was exceedingly comfortable though my guess is that 4 people would be a bit hard unless they were very close friends! Why this apartment? Well it was not my first choice - I had found a cheaper one but then found the "add-on" costs troubling, and then there was stunning silen

We e mailed back and forth so much beforehand that I honestly felt like I had a new friend before I met him. And once I did meet him, I was delighted to find out that he was as nice as he seemed, and that the apartment was perfect. He really does care about his customers and I feel fortunate indeed to have rented from him. I also feel that I do have a friend in France.

We could walk to practically anywhere we wanted to go, and if we were in a hurry, the metro stop at Hotel de ville was only two blocks away. Thierry was very helpful and always available if we needed anything, such as advice on restaurants or shopping. We cannot recommend it enough, except for the fact that if too many people find out...

Comments: Being first time travellers and novices on the internet we were initially apprehensive about arranging an apartment rental ourselves. Paris was a long way from Australia if we arrived and something was not as it should be. Our fears were completely ungrounded - Thierry was a kind and thoughtful host and our apartment was beyond our expectations. We quickly began to feel like Parisians - our living quarters were just like our Parisian neighbours! It was also a great opportunity to cook.

It was less expensive and larger than your average hotel room plus it was personally designed by Thierry (with his great artwork). Thierry is very easy to work with and very accommodating. Thierry has equipped this studio with everything needed: dishes, utensils, cookware, a blow dryer, an alarm clock. The internet connection is very fast; there is a CD player and tv/vcr combo. It's clean, stylish, and superbly located. This isn't "gushing," it's just an honest report of my experience. I would call Thierry again. He is honest and has a g
