We have a luxury studio set in one of nicest areas of the Marais, rue de Rivoli, Métro : SAINT-PAUL. We completely renovated the entire apartment in Jan 04. We are three blocks from Place des Vosges, set in between the trendy streets of Rue Malher and Rue Sevigny. The building itself is an ornate early 18th century building that looks right over St Paul Church. You enter the building and walk through a lovely courtyard filled with trees and plants. There is a small elevator which takes you to the top floor and our apartment. My husband works in the interior design field so we have gone to great efforts to make our place the luxury get-a-way people dream of when they visit Paris. When you walk in, you are immediately struck by the glorious view of St Paul Church that can be seen from either of our two balconies. The apartment has cathedral high ceilings with exposed beams and beautiful hard wood floors. The place is decorated beautifully with antiques, chandeliers, Yves Delorme bedding, and fabrics with hues of burgundy and gold. The kitchen is brand new and modern with a stainless steel counter top, slate trim and cherry wood cabinets. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything including a stove top, microwave/oven, and a washer/dryer. In the living room, we have a 40's leather sofa accompanied by two wine velvet 30's club chairs that all sit in front of the fireplace. There is TV/VCR and CD player. Local phone is included. The bedroom area, with a queen seize bed, is a little alcove next to the living room with two French doors that lead out to one of the small terraces. There is walk-in closet next to the bedroom area. The bathroom is really deluxe. It is covered with Italian tumbled marble and has a large bathtub with a extra large-sunflower shower head. There is a towel warmer in the bathroom.

In terms of location, you can't beat it. The St. Paul metro is just in front of the house as well as a taxi stand. The Louvre is 15 minutes by foot as well as Notre Dame, St Louis, The Pompidou Center, and the Bastille. The Picasso Museum is just four blocks away. In terms of shopping, you have some of the best cheese, meat, wine, and bake shops just outside the front door.
