Jan
Krugier is one of the most famous collectors of contemporary art. This
galerist from Geneva revealed us already part of his treasures in 2002,
when he lent to the Museum Jacquemart-Andre small masterpieces signed
Carpaccio, Boucher, Ingres or Cézanne during the exhibition
devoted then to the Passion of the Drawing. Its current
collection of modern art is also stunning. This collection
included some giants of the XXth century. Inside it, we discover
Picasso, Giacometti, Rothko among prestigious of other stars. We
find many amazing pieces of this superb collection in this exhibition
organized at the Maillol Museum and entitled "Fire under ash" in homage
to Rothko which enjoyed to combine several work from different sources
for better doing them "to flame". Picasso and Basquiat are struck
there nicely.
