The French Tennis Open which is played in late may is one of the finest events of Paris. You can enjoy a glamorous atmosphere, which confers to the tournament this so special taste. Parisians go to Rolland Garros to see and also to be seen. The typical spectator wears dark sunglasses and the so French "Lacoste shirt". The open lasts 2 weeks. There are 17 courts in the stadium. The most famous one is the "Central", where the finals are played and where cameras are. In the front places you could spot celebrities, French actors, international pop stars and a lot of top models also. Really a nice place to be introduced to famous people, especially in the partnership desk. The tickets price range from $15 to $100 for a top seat during the final. Black market could be expensive, but often the only solution to have a ticket without long time booking. The stadium is located near the "Boulogne wood" in the smart 16th district of Paris. The nearest subway station is "Porte d'Auteuil". The gates open at 11h00 and close at 21h00. If you want to see Agassi, Sampras, Kurten, Kournikova or Venus Williams on the red clay don't hesitate.
