Three months ago, the
monumental store Louis Vuitton of the Champs-Elysees made new
skin. This international méga-store dedicated to the
leather working of luxury announced in its new projects a true space
dedicated to art, located on its 7th floor and in particular dedicated
to the art of travel : Discrete manner to pay homage to the original
"malletier" whose productions harnessed horse-cars and accompanied the
travelers on the huge steamers. This space of 400 square feet
overcome of a spectacular rotunda is inaugurated days with a conceptual
exhibition. One reaches it by a futuristic and space
elevator. Five annual exhibitions are planned. The very
first one is dedicated to the artist Italian-American plastician
Vanessa Beecroft who lives today in New York. This "Alphabet
concept" imagined by the artist organizes a choreography of naked women
whose articulated bodies form the letters of the alphabet, whose
celebrates it interlaced LV. Photographs and vidéos show
the talent of Beecroft. An exhibition in black and white since it
primarily uses the color of skin of the female subjects.
