Université Paris-Sorbonne, 1 rue Victor Cousin, 75230 Paris Cedex 05 (01.40.26.25.42, fax 01.40.46.25.88, www.paris4sorbonne.fr), the grand-daddy of French universities, was founded in 1253 and is still going strong. Inscription into degree courses costs about 400 euros per year. Also offers 3 to 9 month-long-programs for American students.
